WEST HAM TRANSFER NEWS:
Sullivan Deals In Progress, Targets, Signings, Contracts & Exit Updates

The post-Steidten era at the London Stadium has officially shifted from data-driven gambles to a battle for West Ham’s financial and competitive survival. Following the record-breaking £104.2million loss reported in the latest accounts, the board has made it clear that “significant player trading” is the only way to navigate a looming liquidity crisis this summer.

With the massive January departure of Lucas Paqueta to Flamengo for £36.5m, following Mohammed Kudus to Tottenham last summer, the squad has been stripped of its elite flair to balance the books.

A few new attackers were recruited in the winter window, but it is clear Nuno Espirito Santo‘s squad is lacking the quality required to be competing further up the table. For now, though, preparing for next season is effectively on hold until the Hammers know what division they’re in.

Who could leave West Ham?

While West Ham supporters will be more concerned about which players have been linked with a move to the London Stadium, the brutal truth is right now it is about who will not be sold.

Relegation would almost certainly force a firesale of sorts, with Jarrod Bowen undoubtedly top of the list of players rival clubs will be waiting to pounce for.

Mateus Fernandes is another who has been strongly linked with a West Ham exit, with Manchester pair United and City said to both hold an interest.

Both Bowen and Fernandes are under contract with West Ham until 2030, however, so the ball is very much in the Hammers’ court.

Who has previously been linked with West Ham?

Should Nuno achieve his mission in keeping the Hammers up, it will be all about strengthening ahead of 2026-27. And that may well start by making Axel Disasi’s loan from Chelsea a permanent switch.
