West Ham: Soungoutou Magassa bids likely as midfielder in bracket of Premier League wishlist
West Ham United have had multiple players break through this season, and Soungoutou Magassa is one of them, with the potential of a summer sale already on the cards.
The midfielder has seen an improvement of game time this season under Nuno Espirito Santo, but clearly still has work to do.
The Frenchman is still only young and has years of development ahead of him, though experience in the Premier League this term will be vital.
Nuno has shown great trust in the 22-year-old, and it would be no surprise to see top-flight interest in the former Monaco man this summer.
Magassa has most likely doubled his transfer value since arriving at the London Stadium less than 12 months ago, as Premier League clubs already have useful data on the defensive-minded midfielder.

Study shows Soungoutou Magassa as desirable Premier League asset
Magassa was the subject of interest from Galatasaray in the January transfer window, but the Hammers were reluctant to let him go amid a battle for survival in the league.
He still shows signs of raw ability when he plays, which is the reason why he hasn’t been able to fully nail down a starting spot yet in E20.
| Area of game | Stats |
| Matches (starts) | 21 (11) |
| Duels won | 56% |
| Tackles per 90 | 3.68 |
| Pass success | 80.6% |
| FotMob rating | 6.63 |
As seen with the FotMob stats provided in the table above, Magassa has an average 6.63 rating. He has areas of his game to work on, but one of his biggest strengths is winning duels, with his current success rate at 56 per cent.
X user Spencer Mossman conducted a detailed breakdown of U23 players across Europe for dueling, and Magassa fell into the sweet spot that Premier League clubs usually look to buy from.
Magassa is in the same category as Real Madrid star Eduardo Camavinga and his West Ham team-mate Mateus Fernandes, who could both receive big Premier League interest this summer.
David Sullivan could bank £100m from midfield duo this summer
Fernandes is already said to be on the radar of Manchester United among other Premier League clubs, and it’s said that the Irons would want a fee in the region of £55-70million.
How much West Ham would get from a potential sale would most likely rest on their ability to stay in the top-flight, as relegation would force David Sullivan to sell for less.

However, if the Hammers were to stay up, Sullivan could stick a price tag in excess of £30m for Magassa, which would be seen as fair value in today’s market.
With that being said, West Ham could bank up to £100m for Fernandes and Magassa, as bids for both should be expected and prepared ahead of the summer window.
