Don Hutchison calls out West Ham United fans after what he saw in win v Freiburg

Don Hutchison has called out West Ham United fans on social media after their 5-0 win over Freiburg in the Europa League.

The Hammers overturned a 1-0 first-leg defeat with a dominant performance at the London Stadium thanks to goals from Lucas Paqueta, Jarrod Bowen, Aaron Cresswell and a brace from Mohammed Kudus to move into a European quarter-final for the third year in a row.

A section of the fan base have been calling for David Moyes to leave the club in recent times due to his poor style of football, but Hutchison has been an avid defender of the manager and was quick to point it out on his personal Twitter account after the game (14 March).

“West Ham 5.. Where [are] the David Moyes boo boys tonight?” he wrote.

Hutchison is totally missing the point with West Ham fans

Are the West Ham pundits totally missing the point on purpose or are they just completely not understanding what Hammers fans want?

The reason Irons fans have been complaining about Moyes and wanting the club to move on is because they don’t see these types of performances regularly enough.

The squad is more than capable of turning in these type of performances often and against top level opposition, but the players are never given that freedom because of the way the manager sets the team up and that is the issue.

For everyone pointing this out as a reason for Moyes to stay, they’re missing the fact that most West Ham fans would want him to stay if he was doing this regularly.

That needs to be the priority because this squad is incredibly talented and is capable of blowing teams away all the time with the right idea from the start. If Moyes can do that consistently, then fans won’t have any issues.
