West Ham United make offer ‘Considerably Higher’ than Liverpool for Ruben Amorim
West Ham United have made an offer to Ruben Amorim that is “considerably higher” than what Liverpool have done, according to ABola.
Writing on their website (23 April), the Portuguese news outlet report that the Hammers “will do everything they can” to convince him to head to the London Stadium over Anfield.
That includes “very attractive financial terms” and the “freedom to design a squad of his liking” should he become manager, which is one of the conditions the coach has for his next club.
No agreement has yet been made between the two parties, and one isn’t expected to come before the end of the season.
West Ham United being brave in the manager market?
The decision about the future of David Moyes has been looming over the club for a long time, with suggestions he could have left at the end of last season.
Ultimately winning the Europa Conference League bought him another season, but while the league standing in 2023/24 has improved the style hasn’t.
The club have won just four games in 2024, but have fallen out of the Europa League at the quarter-final stages to an unbeaten Bayer Leverkusen side which means they are unlikely to have European football next season. It now looks definite that Moyes will leave at the end of the season.

The next manager has to be able to build the squad in their image and play an attractive style of football to get the team back competing at the top again, otherwise, it won’t be worth it.
With a move for Amorim, ahead of billionaire-owned Liverpool no less, the board are showing great ambition and the fans surely can’t ask for much more than that right now.
