Caglar Soyuncu has emerged as a last-minute target for West Ham United.
Currently at Fenerbahce in Turkiye, the door has opened for the defender to return to England before 11pm.
Nuno Espirito Santo is clearly scrambling for answers in defence, with several plates spinning at the London Stadium.
West Ham need reinforcements desperately, with their poor start to the Championship only amplifying those needs.

Does Caglar Soyuncu want out?
At this stage of the window, it's hard, if not impossible, to sign a settled player within their clubs.
Those were some of the doubts raised by fans at the London Stadium when the Hammers took so long to start their own business.
Thankfully, that's not the case here.
Dominik Schneider has reported via X that Soyuncu wants to leave Fenerbahce on deadline day.
The Fussball Transfers journalist states that West Ham have taken that forward and already opened talks over a late move.
While not a certainty yet, the outcome is said to remain open.
Why Caglar Soyuncu would be smart signing for West Ham
Having spent many years with Leicester during their highest days after winning the Premier League, he knows what it takes to win.
Soyuncu lifted the FA Cup and the Community Shield with the Foxes, spending five years there after signing from Freiburg.
After that, he went to Atletico Madrid and Fenerbahce, two huge clubs in their own rights.
So, coming into a West Ham side in the Championship that clearly need leadership and direction, he could deliver that.
Currently suffering with a small injury, Soyuncu hasn't played this season so far, but that shouldn't effect any possible move
This is one to watch, with Nuno and West Ham clearly wanting another central defender alongside Konstantinos Mavropanos.
