Henry Winter raises David Moyes question as Julen Lopetegui pressure rises at West Ham United
Henry Winter has asked if West Ham would want David Moyes back as Julen Lopetegui continues to feel the pressure at the London Stadium.
The tide finally looked to be turning after a dramatic 2-1 win over Manchester United, but the Spaniard is back to square one following the humiliating 3-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest on Saturday 2 November.
Fans are already becoming frustrated with results under the new manager, and while Moyes was pushed out by a significant chunk of the fanbase, it is not out of the question that the Scot could return again.
Speaking live via talkSPORT on Sunday (3 November, 9:37am), Winter said: “I don’t want to mention your old mate, David Moyes, but would you have him back?”
Shaun Custis replied: “I don’t think you can go back down that road for the third time. He’s got to be under pressure, hasn’t he? And you can’t get rid of him in November, though the international break is coming up.
Winter ended by saying: “Absolutely. And that’s dangerous. They’ve got some good players, who are not performing. Ultimately, you have to look at the manager.”
Could David Moyes return to West Ham United to replace Lopetegui?
Another return to the London Stadium for Moyes seems highly unlikely, given how he left the club during the summer.
While he shared his love for the fans, the stadium, and the club, there is no doubt he was hurt by the criticism, with many pundits questioning some of the hierarchy’s decisions.
The Hammers have chosen a new path and they must stick with it, whether that be with Lopetegui or to find a new replacement already, which is not an absurd choice after the results so far.

Lopetegui’s side sit just six points above the relegation zone after 10 matches, winning just three games and losing five, not even counting the 5-1 EFL Cup defeat to Liverpool in September.
Something needs to change rather quickly at the London Stadium, but given the fuss about bringing Lopetegui to the club during the summer, he is unlikely to be sacrificed anytime soon.
