Jeff Stelling and Ally McCoist were in agreement after West Ham fans were ridiculed for wanting David Moyes sacked live on air.

The Scot was subjected to plenty of criticism during his final season at the London Stadium, with much of it bordering on abuse, eventually being replaced by Julen Lopetegui at the helm.

With just two victories from his first eight Premier League matches in charge, the Spaniard is facing a similar pressure to turn things around quickly.

Speaking live via talkSPORT on Monday (21 October, 6:46am), reading out a listener's text, Stelling said: "What's happened to Jim and all these West Ham fans who texted you every day with 'Moyes out'? You all asked for this but you're conspicuously quiet these days. You reap what you sow, guys.

McCoist replied: "That's a fair point. Where is Jim?" before Stelling added: "I don't know. Jim, where are you? Where are you? Come on, Jim."

David Moyes to make another West Ham United return?

It does not seem completely out of the question for a dramatic return for Moyes, especially given his history with the Hammers over the season.

Some fans have already gone as far as to admit that he should not have left during the summer, having helped the Hammers to three consecutive seasons in Europe.

Moyes has made a comeback once before, having been called upon to save the club from Manuel Pellegrini's reign, but it does not seem likely at this point, even despite Lopetegui's tough start.

Things looked to be taking a positive twist after the Hammers managed a 4-1 win over Ipswich Town before the international break but are now back to square one following the Tottenham defeat.

The Spaniard will certainly need to act quickly if he is to save his job at the London Stadium, though with a plethora of new players, he will need more time to work his magic.
