How long is Balogun’s professional contract?
West Ham have been active in keeping their young talents, with Lewis Beckford recently agreeing terms to remain.
The Irons did not disclose the length of the deal, but there is a maximum term of five years, per FIFA regulations, as he is already 18.
It would make sense to give him the maximum deal, so he has the longest time possible to reach his potential.
Who is West Ham talent Majid Balogun?
Balogun has played 45 times for the Under-18 since joining the East London side, and was part of the side that tasted U18 Premier League Cup glory in 2025.

What has Balogun said?
Balogun revealed his excitement to sign terms with the E20 side, and he has ambitions that should see him reach the senior side.
Speaking to the club’s official website, he said: “It feels really good, I think every young player is working towards this moment, so it’s a big thing to achieve.
“But at the same time, you always want more. This is a really good platform to go on and achieve bigger things.”
That suggests that he is going to continue the hard work, and has the determination required to play for Nuno Espirito Santo‘s side, who may need to call on some younger bodies if they are in the Championship next season.
What have West Ham figures said?
Academy Director Kenny Brown delivered a glowing review of the young talent, claiming that he has what it makes to continue his progression
He has backed him to take to the Under-21s, saying: “Majid’s got a real appetite to learn. He’s very well-liked around the place, quite unassuming, but quietly confident in his own ability.
“He’s finished the season really strongly and we’re excited to see how he develops in the Under-21s environment. The move over to Rush Green is an important step because the levels increase and you’re working even closer to the first team every day, but we’re confident he’ll take it all in his stride.
“He’s had injuries this season, but none of it has fazed him. He’s applied himself brilliantly in his rehab, gets everything out of his work both on the pitch and in the classroom and has gone about everything with no fuss at all.
“He’s been an excellent scholar and now it’s about continuing that progression as a professional.”
Whether he can make it to the first-team remains to be seen, but he is one to keep a close eye on.
