Preston Fearon set for make-or-break summer as West Ham dilemma emerges
Preston Fearon will be hoping for his chance to stake a claim at West Ham United next season.
Due to the constant threat of relegation, the Hammers had very little breathing room to afford chances to their youth players in the Premier League.
Mohamadou Kante was one of the very few who got their chance, though that is expected to change next season.
With West Ham set for a season in the Championship, those youngsters will be hoping to get a chance to showcase their value.
And perhaps none more so than Fearon, who thrived in the Premier League 2 last campaign.

Preston Fearon’s numbers speak for themselves
The teen managed 13 goal involvements from midfield last season in the Premier League 2, showcasing his influence in the final third.
He created 32 chances, with six of them deemed as big chances, while also completing 15 dribbles throughout the campaign.

Fearon led the way for the number of touches over the season, demonstrating his willingness to get on the ball and make things happen, very similar to that of Mateus Fernandes, who has been heavily linked with an exit.

And yet he was never afforded the chance to demonstrate his quality in the Premier League, but that opportunity will surely arrive in the Championship.
West Ham have decision to make with Fearon
Pre-season will be Fearon’s chance to show Nuno Espirito Santo what he has to offer, and if he impresses, he will almost certainly have a role to play.
However, with just two years left on his deal with the Hammers, they face a big decision in regard to his future.
This season has to be the one where the teenager plays regular senior football, and if that isn’t to be with West Ham, it must be out on loan.
The next 12 months will shape his development, and if they make the wrong call, it could prove costly.
