Jill Scott makes Jarrod Bowen claim that even West Ham fans won’t agree with
Jill Scott believes West Ham United‘s Jarrod Bowen is in with a shout of winning the Premier League Player of the Season award.
First things first, West Ham would have been relegated a long time ago had it not been for Bowen, who has been consistent in his performances for several seasons.
The Englishman has again played his part for the Hammers in their attempts to avoid the drop this season, ahead of the final five games.
Bowen has managed eight goals and assists in the top flight for the Irons this season, in just under 3000 minutes of action.
And Scott thinks that is enough for Bowen to win the Player of the Season award come the end of the campaign.

Jill Scott wide of the mark with Jarrod Bowen nomination
Bowen has had another very good season for West Ham, and no one will take that away from him.
He has the most direct goal involvement in the squad, and by some margin, with Callum Wilson’s six the second-most.
| West Ham | Goals + assists |
| Jarrod Bowen | 16 |
| Callum Wilson | 6 |
| Crysencio Summerville | 6 |
| Mateus Fernandes | 6 |
| Lucas Paqueta | 6 |
But the Premier League Player of the Season? It’s a bold claim.
Via the Overlap, Scott said: “I would put Jarrod Bowen there. We need to give credit to players who keep their club in the league. He is so consistent as well.”
Her statement rings true in every sense, but there is a case to be made that this hasn’t even been Bowen’s best season at West Ham.
Has Bowen even been West Ham’s Player of the Season?
Honestly, probably not.
He’s certainly up there, but Mateus Fernandes would likely be most people’s shout for the award come the end of the season.

The former Saints star has been an integral component in the Hammers’ midfield and ranks among the best for several key metrics.
Crysencio Summerville and Konstantinos Mavropanos also deserve a mention for their form since the turn of the year.
