Paul Konchesky sack West Ham United sack verdict shared

We’re delighted to welcome Michelle Irons as our exclusive West Ham Women expert. Each week she’ll be giving her views on the biggest talking points at Victoria Road…

West Ham United Women’s expert Michelle Irons believes the club could look to make a change of manager after a dismal run of form in 2023.

Paul Konchesky’s side are without a Women’s Super League win since 2022 and have picked up just two points in the league since the start of the year.

Irons believes this season has been a failure and that it wouldn’t be a surprise to see the decision-makers at the club make a change in the dugout.

“It’s a tricky one as Konch has made some changes and brought in some quality players but in all aspects, this season has been a failure,” Irons exclusively told West Ham Zone.

“Our points tally from 2023 is abysmal. So overall I’m not happy and I wouldn’t be surprised if they made a change.”

It’s been a truly poor run of form for West Ham which has seen Konchesky’s side plummet down the league after a promising start to the campaign.

There have been some damaging defeats to Manchester City and Manchester United recently along with a loss to lowly Brighton.

The Hammers are set to face Chelsea, Leicester and Tottenham before the season concludes on 27 May. If the losing form continues, the West Ham board certainly have a big call to make ahead of the 2023/24 season.

The off-season could be massive.
