West Ham’s new squad value revealed after £70m-plus outrage from London Stadium
West Ham endured an anti-climactic summer transfer window as exits proved more costly than incomings.
In total, 15 players from last season’s squad departed, including Mohammed Kudus, who joined Tottenham for £55million.
Fears emerged in recent weeks over their lack of depth in midfield, but some worries were relieved as Mateus Fernandes signed from Southampton for £40million.
With more than 23 combined deals either way, the Irons’ squad value has changed a lot, and West Ham Zone analyses how much their squad is worth now.

West Ham’s squad is worth £323million
Igor Julio was West Ham’s only deadline day signing, as the Hammers beat Crystal Palace to his loan signature, despite the Brazilian completing a medical in South London.
The Hammers prioritised the signing of the centre back after Nayef Aguerd completed a £19.9million move to Marseille, taking the income from sales to over £70million.
Supporters had hoped for a busy final day, but Potter’s side managed just one incoming, leading to fan outrage at the London Stadium.
With all the business either way, West Ham’s squad is now said to be worth £323million, according to Transfermarkt.
Player | Worth |
Jarrod Bowen | £34.76m |
Lucas Paqueta | £24.33m |
Max Kilman | £21.72 |
Jean-Clair Todibo | £21.72 |
West Ham will be happy to keep Lucas Paqueta, with the midfielder the second-highest valued player in the team, somehow just above £24m.
Potter will be surprised, but relieved, that interest wasn’t shown in Jarrod Bowen, with the forward one of their most influential players last season.
Some of the Irons’ least valuable members are Wes Foderingham (£348,000), Freddie Potts (£1.5m), and Callum Marshall (£1.5m).
Other low-valued senior options include Callum Wilson (£6.95m), James Ward-Prowse (£6.95m), and Andy Irving (£3.5m).

How much squad value have West Ham lost since last season?
The Hammers squad lost £131million in value from the notable outgoings of Aguerd, Kudus, Edson Alvarez, Carlos Soler, and Evan Ferguson.
In comparison, they have added just £89million in value from their incomings, meaning value-wise the squad is £42million worse off.
Potter will be disappointed, as by all accounts the Irons ended the window weaker than they started it.
The Hammers missed out on multiple targets. Axel Disasi was a key target for West Ham on deadline day, but even the Frenchman, who has struggled for gametime at Chelsea, decided against joining.
David Sullivan will be hoping that West Ham’s 3-0 win against Nottingham Forest wasn’t just a one-off, or the Irons could be caught up in a relegation scrap this season.
