West Ham United to push Vitao transfer forward after Kia Joorabchian update
West Ham United and Kia Joorabchian will push forward with their move to sign Internacional defender Vitao within hours, according to Revista Colorada.
The Brazilian publication posted on X with an update stating that super agent, Joorabchian, representing the Hammers in the South American country, will “move forward” with the club’s bid on Monday (10 June).
West Ham have given heavy attention to Brazil-based targets, with Luis Guilherme also on the verge of joining the club from Palmeiras.
West Ham United continue Brazil transfer raid
Julen Lopetegui’s arrival at the London Stadium in recent weeks has seen the Hammers cast their net far and wide, as the Spaniard looks to begin a much-needed refresh of David Moyes’ existing squad.
The Irons’ first port of call has been Brazil, with both Tim Steidten and now Joorabchian jetting out to discuss transfer terms with several targets [Evening Standard].
Unfortunately for the Hammers though, Steidten’s hit rate was less than successful, seeing an early move for Fabricio Bruno fall through due to wage demands [X] – hence the turn to his compatriot Vitao.
Although Joorabchian is expected to close a deal for Luis Guilherme next week, that protracted transfer has also undergone several twists and turns in the last few days, with Palmeiras bargaining for a premium price to sell the 18-year-old [GE Globo].
If Joorabchian can secure the signatures of Vitao and Guilherme in the coming days, it will represent the starting gun for the summer rebuild truly beginning, all the way from South America.
