West Ham United decide on James Ward-Prowse exit – Dharmesh Sheth

West Ham are open to listening to offers for James Ward-Prowse ahead of the transfer deadline, according to Dharmesh Sheth.

The Sky Sports news editor reported on 29 August that despite him starting against Bournemouth, he could be shown the door.

The 29-year-old moved to the London Stadium last summer when David Moyes was at the helm.

West Ham may look to cash in on James Ward-Prowse

Ward-Prowse enjoyed his start to life at the London Stadium but then quickly fell down the pecking order so much so that’s on the cusp of an exit.

Julen Lopetegui is very particular with the profile of players he wants at the club and the Englishman certainly does not fit the bill.

His departure thus opens the door for the club to bring in Carlos Soler from PSG – someone who’s been linked to the club for weeks.

Soler’s arrival would certainly offer something different in the middle of the park and it remains to be seen how Lopetegui gets the best out of him.

As for Ward-Prowse, it may be too early to say he’s played his last game for the club but there should be sides looking for an eleventh-hour punt on him.

The English midfielder is not a bad player by any stretch of the imagination but he’s just not what Lopetegui needs at the club this season.

In other West Ham news, the release clause has been revealed as the Hammers have launched an approach to seal another deadline-busting transfer.
