West Ham ready Bright Arrey-Mbi transfer as talks drag on for days
West Ham United are interested in signing Bright Arrey-Mbi on deadline day.
West Ham are active in the final hours of the window, with outgoings dominating deadline day as Marseille look to seal deals for Emerson Palmieri and Nayef Aguerd.
A defender is West Ham’s aim at the end of a messy window, where off-field issues have spilt onto the pitch via bad results, as the pressure on Graham Potter grows.
However, a 3-0 win at Nottingham Forest has lifted spirits at the London Stadium, and they look to end the window strong with a move for Arrey-Mbi.

Negotiations for Arrey-Mbi have lasted days
With Charlie Cresswell looking to be a top target for West Ham, the emergence of Arrey-Mbi as a potential signing is surprising to say the least.
Florian Plettenburg has reported that West Ham and Braga have been in negotiations over the past few days as they look to reach an agreement for the German defender.
However, there is no breakthrough in sight at the moment, and with time ticking down before the 7pm deadline, a deal for Arrey-Mbi is not guaranteed.
The centre-half’s current deal at the Portuguese giants runs until the summer of 2029, having joined from Hannover 96 just last summer.
West Ham pushing for a loan deal
It has emerged that West Ham are seeking a loan deal for Arrey-Mbi, rather than an immediate permanent deal.
Jacob Steinberg has reported that a temporary switch is being explored by the Hammers, with an option to buy being included in the deal.
Arrey-Mbi would come in to replace Marseille-bound Aguerd once his deal is completed later on Monday, and will look to be a major upgrade on the Moroccan.
Should West Ham be able to complete a deal for Cresswell with Marseille, it is unknown if that will affect the deal for the German to arrive at the London Stadium.
