Andy Irving could be on his way out of West Ham United this summer.

Irving has been at West Ham since moving from Austria Klagenfurt in 2023, but has endured a miserable spell at the London Stadium.

Wrexham are interested in bringing Irving to Wales this summer, but a deal is stalling due to the Englishman's wage demands.

West Ham are looking to get rid of Irving this summer, and they may yet have the chance to cash in via Wrexham's Hollywood owners.

Wrexham to try one last time to agree terms with Andy Irving

Wrexham looks set to make one final push to get a deal done for Irving, after failing to agree personal terms to this point.

ExWHUEmployee on X has reported in response to a question about whether the deal is off that it's all about the midfielder's wage demands, and that the deal isn't off yet.

He said that Wrexham may try one more time to get the deal over the line, but noted that Wrexham cannot currently meet Irving's demands.

Irving had been linked with a shock move to Millwall late on in the window, and the Hammers saving grace could come in the form over their fierce rivals should Wrexham be unable to stump up the cash.

Andy Irving needs the move to revitalise his career

Irving is a talented midfielder who managers love, due to his constant professionalism despite limited playing time.

However, there comes a point where the midfielder needs to focus on his own career rather than the team's wishes, and he needs to leave West Ham today.

In a summer of players refusing to play to force through moves, Irving wouldn't be blamed for doing the same, given his lack of involvement, and a move to the Championship could restart his stagnant career.
