West Ham line up new Southampton raid after Walker-Peters agreement struck
West Ham are finally making moves in the transfer window after selling Mohammed Kudus to Tottenham for £55million.
West Ham have already confirmed the arrival of Senegalese defender El Hadji Malick Diouf this summer, and despite previous financial worries, their transfer window is finally ramping up.
A deal has reportedly been agreed for Kyle Walker-Peters, and Graham Potter’s side will now look to be prioritising attacking reinforcements as they hope to pick Southampton’s pockets after agreeing a deal for their former defender.

West Ham interested in Southampton’s Mateus Fernandes
The Irons are looking to add attacking reinforcements before the start of the season, with Manchester City’s Jack Grealish one of those being discussed.
There have also been discussions surrounding a potential move for Liverpool’s Harvey Elliott over recent weeks, but The Sun (18 July) has now reported that the Hammers could raid Southampton after hijacking Walker-Peters’ proposed move to Beşiktas.

Saints midfielder Mateus Fernandes is being considered by Potter.
Should the Hammers land the midfielder, it would be a huge double blow for the Championship side.
The 21-year-old was one of the few positives for Southampton last season as they slipped straight back down to the second tier. While the Irons remain interested in Elliott and Grealish, Fernandes could be the ideal cheaper alternative.
The Saints had reportedly previously valued their young star at more than £25million, but David Sullivan may be able to bring that price down.

West Ham fans will be excited by transfer links
After a slow start to the transfer window, Hammers fans will be happy to forgive Sullivan, should he land some of the players they have been linked to.
Last year, West Ham had a disastrous summer window, and there seems to be a clear intent on avoiding the mistakes made.
West Ham now have a good opportunity to back Potter and push for a top-half finish, and give themselves a good chance of playing European football again.
