Niclas Fullkrug's time as a West Ham player will go down as one to forget.

You'd be forgiven for not knowing this, but the summer transfer window has been open for some time now, and West Ham are yet to make any new additions to their squad, despite the failures they demonstrated last season.

The £40m arrival of Jean-Clair Todibo remains the only business they have conducted so far, after triggering the buy clause in his loan contract.

With that said, there are still plenty of rumours emerging from the London Stadium, though the majority are focused on players departing the club this summer.

London Stadium door opens for Fullkrug to depart

After such an impressive campaign in the Bundesliga, Fullkrug's arrival at West Ham was met with a lot of optimism, but that very quickly started to dwindle.

The German international simply hasnt hit the heights expected of him at the London Stadium, and while injuries have played a part, it is looking to be a poor decision made by Tim Steidten to have sanctioned the £27million move.

Now, it is claimed by the Daily Mail (26 June) that the Irons are prepared to let Fullkrug leave this summer, alongside winger Mohammed Kudus.

At 32 years old, there is little to no chance that the Hammers will recoup the fee that they paid for him, though they will look to maximise the funds they can get from his exit if it is to happen.

Graham Potter is on the road to nowhere at West Ham

There are already doubts about whether Graham Potter is the man to lead the Irons forward, but he is receiving no favours with the lack of transfer activity.

West Ham need several new additions, and only then will a real judgement be afforded of his managerial ability, and with the PSR turnover imminent, the hopes will be that they can start to accelerate their recruitment plans.
