West Ham United have been firmly in the mix for Manchester United youngster Harry Amass this summer.

The Hammers have been looking to sign a new left-back after El Hadji Malick Diouf's departure, and are still in the market ahead of the 11pm Tuesday deadline.

The Irons' loan offer for Roma left-back Anass Salah-Eddine has been turned down, with the player keen to explore other options.

Though there are mere hours left in the window, Nuno Espirito Santo could yet be informed of a new addition after the game against Wolves at the London Stadium.

Amass has been one man that's been linked with West Ham recently, and further news on his future has been revealed.

Harry Amass twist emerges after West Ham links

West Ham are in the mix to sign Amass from Man United, among other interested Championship clubs.

The likes of Burnley, Norwich City and Birmingham City have been linked with the 19-year-old.

According to an update from journalist Simon Stone on X, Amass is set to stay with the Red Devils in an "unexpected" twist before the deadline.

There has been a change of direction at Old Trafford, perhaps related to Michael Carrick's side's pursuit of another left-back.

Ollie Scarles is Nuno Espirito Santo's current option, but could West Ham sign the youngster some competition?

Anass Salah-Eddine rejects West Ham deal on deadline day - here's why

Why West Ham won't rue Amass decision

West Ham are in talks to sign Adama Boiro from Athletic Bilbao ahead of the deadline.

Talks are underway for a loan-to-buy deal for the left-back, who is yet to sign on the dotted line for the Hammers.

The 24-year-old is keen on a move to E20, but time is against him and the Irons to get the move done.
