West Ham could add yet another signing after Alex Kral
West Ham could sign another player once they officially add Alex Kral to their squad, according to Evening Standard journalist Jack Rosser.
Writing via his personal Twitter account on Tuesday evening, just hours before the transfer deadline, Rosser reported that he’s been told there’s a “small chance” a player for the future is also brought in. If it does happen, it’ll be for a nominal fee.
On the Evening Standard website, Rosser reports that Kral is set to join in a loan-to-buy deal with the obligation for it to be made permanent after a certain number of starts.
It is understood that there could be chance for a third deadline day addition too – after Nikola Vlasic and Kral – in a deal worth £1million.
Who could it be?
West Ham seem to have a bit of money left in the bank.
Based on the fact we’re a big club in the Premier League, sold Sebastien Haller for a big fee in January without replacing him and haven’t spent the earth this summer, that’s no surprise.
It remains to be seen who the player for the future will be – if he does arrive – but it’s bound to be a decent addition if he’s coming in for a seven-figure fee.
We have a great youth set up in East London but there’s no harm in poaching young players from other clubs in order to add to the numbers.
West Ham must feel as though this potential third deadline day addition is worthwhile and could end up with the club making a profit in the future.
In other West Ham news, the club is in talks to sign this French forward on deadline day.
