Juventus ready to sell as West Ham want Nicolo Savona transfer, details emerge

West Ham are looking to provide some competition for Aaron Wan-Bissaka next season, with Nicolo Savona an early option.

The former Manchester United star has been the first-choice right-back since making the move to the Hammers, becoming a fan favourite.

Graham Potter is looking to put his own fingerprints on the squad that is mostly compiled by former West Ham manager Julen Lopetegui.

The Irons are expected to once again be very active in the summer transfer window, and given the fact they’ve spent most of the season just above the relegation zone, some added quality is necessary.

West Ham have identified brand new signing

Only Wolves have conceded more goals than West Ham in the Premier League this season out of the teams outside the relegation zone, and that is an area that needs focusing on.

Potter has identified a new goalkeeper as a primary position to strengthen, but he’s also pushing for a new right-back to be signed.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, the Hammers are in the running to sign Juventus full-back Savona this summer.

The 22-year-old has caught the attention of the Premier League outfit due to his performances throughout the campaign, which have led to him getting increased opportunities for the Italian giants.

It is believed that Juventus would be willing to sell Savona for the right price this summer, opening the door up for West Ham to try and bring him to the London Stadium.

Savona is under contract until 2029, therefore, Juventus are going to be in a strong position when it comes to negotiations, and this will not be a deal done on the cheap.

Savona might not be the top priority

Given that Potter already has Wan-Bissaka in this position, signing Savona might be dumped down the list of priorities this summer, which could prohibit a deal from happening.

However, West Ham need to strengthen the squad in various positions, and with PSR impacting teams, it is going to be important that they spend the money wisely.

Potter will be under pressure next season to start the campaign well as they want to avoid another relegation battle, therefore, recruitment is going to be key.
