Axel Disasi reveals how he truly felt about West Ham interest as key desire emerges
Chelsea outcast Axel Disasi was linked with a move to West Ham throughout the transfer window.
West Ham made a loan approach to sign Disasi on deadline day, as Graham Potter looked to add defensive reinforcements to his squad.
In the end, West Ham’s financial concerns ended a move for Disasi, which ultimately resulted in the Frenchman remaining at Stamford Bridge.
This saw West Ham instead land Igor Julio on loan from Brighton as the transfer window came to an end at the London Stadium.
Now, Disasi himself has spoken out to reveal his thoughts and feelings after a move to East London broke down.

Axel Disasi favoured a move to Monaco
With Disasi previously compared to Chelsea legend John Terry, there would have been pros to completing a deal for the Frenchman.
Having spent the second half of last season on loan at Aston Villa, the Blues were willing to part ways with the 27-year-old to anyone throughout the summer.
This saw a number of outfits, including the Hammers, showcase an interest in the versatile defender’s signature throughout the window.
With that being said, Disasi stuck around at Chelsea, but looks increasingly unlikely to feature under Enzo Maresca this campaign.
The ex-Villa man has revealed via Carre on 9 September that he had a preference to join Monaco ahead of West Ham and a host of Premier League teams.
He said: “Between the approaches from Bournemouth and West Ham, Monaco came along, and it deeply touched me.
“I spent three incredible years in Monaco. Upon their arrival, all the memories came flooding back.
“Monaco is home to me. I was hoping Chelsea would find a solution to let me go out on loan. I insisted right up to the last minute to go to Monaco.”
West Ham dodge Axel Disasi transfer bullet
Despite the experience that the Frenchman possesses, his addition may have been more of a risk than Potter needed to take this summer.
At Aston Villa, Disasi came under heavy scrutiny for some of his performances as his ability on the ball and lack of mobility became an issue.

It was little surprise that Unai Emery’s side didn’t bring the defender back to the West Midlands, and with that in mind, it may be positive that West Ham didn’t sign him either.
The signing of Igor may prove to be more wise, especially given the wage demands that were likely included in any deal for the Chelsea outcast.
