West Ham scouts have been spotted at a Midtjylland match amid the ongoing speculation surrounding Franculino Dju.

The striker is in fine form so far this season and has already netted 16 Danish Super Liga goals in 16 matches.

This is despite the Guinea-Bissau international being only 21 years old, showcasing how much potential he has.

As a result, plenty of teams are linked to Dju, including West Ham. However, links to the attacker had gone goal in recent weeks.

Yet, it now appears that a deal could be back on.

West Ham were linked to Dju in the summer, and it now appears that this interest has continued ahead of the January window.

This is of little surprise, given the striker’s form.

Now, football analyst Cemil via X posted a video on 2 December showcasing the scouts at Midtjylland’s match against Nordsjaelland on the weekend, with West Ham being among the clubs present.

Dju would end up scoring twice in this game, as he continued his fine form in a 6-0 victory.

Therefore, West Ham’s pursuit of the youngster could be back on.

Surely the Hammers would not have sent their scouts to watch the attacker if there was no interest.

While the scouts could have been watching another player, this is unlikely considering their recent links.

However, it remains to be seen if West Ham follow this up with a bid, considering that Midtjylland want a Danish Super Liga record fee for the striker, meaning the transfer would cost over £26million.

How good is Dju?

Given his goalscoring record, Dju has plenty of fantastic stats.

However, he also has plenty of qualities on top of his finishing.

According to Fotmob on 3 December, Dju is also more than capable of creating opportunities for his teammates, averaging 0.23 assists per match.

Hopefully, West Ham will quickly make a move before more clubs join the race.
