West Ham man Nikola Vlasic could make an immediate impact

West Ham secured the signing of Nikola Vlasic from CSKA Moscow near the end of the transfer window for quite a substantial fee.

The 23-year-old arrives at the London Stadium with a good goalscoring record, and after his latest international display, he could be set to have an immediate impact for the Irons.

Vlasic played just 35 minutes against Slovenia on Tuesday night, in which he scored one goal and proved to be a creative threat [Henry Tomlinson’s Twitter account].

The Croatian international scored his seventh goal for his country but also provided three key passes, had three shots on target and completed one dribble.

Now, these are some impressive stats for such a short appearance off the bench, and we expect that he will be raring to go as soon as he arrives in London.

It is unclear how much game time Vlasic will initially get under David Moyes, but if he is playing like this for his country, he is surely ready to make an immediate impact.

Of course, we don’t think he will be starting, but if he can repeat this type of performance off the bench, then Moyes will have something to think about going forward.

Vlasic is not the same player who failed to make the grade at Everton, and we can’t wait to see him play for the Irons; this latest performance for his country has got us even more excited.
