Nuno Espirito Santo may already have his striker solution waiting in the wings at West Ham

West Ham seem to have already made a drastic shift since the sacking of Graham Potter.

Nuno Espirito Santo looks to change the culture at West Ham, after a losing start to the season under Potter.

Having enjoyed successful stints in the Premier League, Nuno Espirito Santo has now outlined his vision to take the Hammers higher up the table.

One problem Nuno has is the lack of quality in the striker position. Niclas Fullkrug has been criticised, and Callum Wilson is past his best days.

Fortunately for West Ham, they may already have a superstar waiting patiently for his breakthrough, as Nuno won’t be able to ignore him for long.

Callum Marshall could be leading the West Ham line very soon

West Ham youngster Callum Marshall is highly rated by the club, as the natural goalscorer continues to find the back of the net for the U21s.

Marshall had a loan spell with West Brom that didn’t quite work out, but he enjoyed a successful stay at Huddersfield Town last season.

Marshall has made West Ham’s matchday squad on numerous occasions this season, and also featured in Nuno’s first West Ham team selection against Everton.

Marshall is clearly a proven goalscorer and looks ready for first-team football, but should that be at West Ham?

Marshall’s playstyle would suit Nuno Espirito Santo’s West Ham side

Marshall is obviously known as a prolific goalscorer, but much more is needed at Premier League level.

The 20-year-old would bring high energy and pressing to Nuno’s side, something Fullkrug and Wilson cannot offer at their age.

Marshall is also versatile, meaning he would be able to comfortably move across the front line and into pockets to receive the ball.

More importantly, he has good movement and pace, something the West Ham front line is lacking, as the stars appear to be aligning for the youngster’s breakthrough.
