West Ham will be tempted by Liverpool striker Divock Origi's valuation
West Ham will be tempted by Liverpool’s asking fee for striker Divock Origi, claims reliable insider ExWHUemployee.
The Hammers have been looking for a striker for over a year to replace Sebastien Haller.
Origi has been favoured by the club hierarchy but David Moyes has had his reservations over the Belgian attacker.
Issuing a transfer update, Ex wrote, “Origi of Liverpool is available for a decent fee and will certainly tempt us.
“The chairmen have always been keen on the player but Moyes has had reservations. Could Rob Newman persuade Moyes if he is a fan? “
“This is worth keeping an eye on although no offer has been made as yet from us.”
Origi has proven to be clutch on numerous occasions for Liverpool and could do the same at the London Stadium.
His movement in the final third has been exceptional as he always finds himself on the end of crosses.
Whenever Jurgen Klopp calls on him, he’s there to deliver the goods, but he possibly would be tired of playing a super-sub for so many years.
Should West Ham promise him game time, which is the likely scenario, he wouldn’t mind moving to London to work with Moyes.
The Hammers would offer him European football and the chance to fight for a top-four finish that could see them being in the Champions League next season as well.
Moyes appears to have his reservations, but if there aren’t any good options, then he may be forced to give in and allow Rob Newman to sign Origi.
