West Ham want to sign top-of-the-range striker for £50m

David Moyes reportedly wants West Ham to sign a top-of-the-range striker this summer.

According to Claret and Hugh, he believes that the Hammers could get one over the line for £50million.

In case that does not happen, Moyes will settle for a backup to Michail Antonio.

It has also been reported that the Hammers could have up to £150million to shell out on new players amid Daniel Kretinsky’s backing.

Fair enough

A striker has been the need of the hour ever since Sebastien Haller left.

Due to Antonio’s performances, Moyes did not force the board into signing a striker immediately.

However, he’s seeing what happens once he stops getting goals as there’s no other reliable attacker in the team that can regularly find the back of the net.

To his credit, Jarrod Bowen has been doing that of late, but one expects more from their centre forwards.

If the club are willing to shell out £50million then we’re sure that they can get a striker at the peak of his powers.

The Hammers are in need of a player that can guarantee them 20 league goals per season for the next three years if they are to actually become an established top-six club.
