West Ham want to sign Chelsea defender Levi Colwill
West Ham reportedly want to sign Chelsea defender Levi Colwill, who is currently on loan at Championship side Huddersfield Town.
According to ExWHUemployee, it remains to be seen whether the Blues would be willing to sell him to a top-four as well as a local rival.
The 18-year-old is a left-footed centre-back and fits the bill perfectly for David Moyes who’s looking for that sort of defender to complement Kurt Zouma.
Speaking on the West Ham Way podcast, Ex said, “The guy who’s on loan at Huddersfield, Levi Colwill, he’s a left-sided centre-back who we’re keen on. Obviously, this is a specific position that we really want. I don’t know if Chelsea will be prepared to sell to us.”
Tad young
Had Colwill been in his early or mid-20s, this move would have made sense.

However, if the club are looking for a ready-made Zouma partner, then it may be a few years early for the young Englishman.
While he’s performing exceptionally and arguably better than most teenagers in England, he’s still got no Premier League or top-five league experience.
Playing at Huddersfield, where he has been reckoned as “brilliant” is one thing, but doing the same thing every other week in front of 60,000 people inside the London Stadium is another.
If the club want to sign Colwill as an option for the future, then they should pursue his services, by all means.
He’s got everything in his locker to be a top centre-back in a few years and under the right coaching, the sky is the limit for him.
