West Ham want to sign MK Dons attacking midfielder Scott Twine

West Ham are reportedly looking at MK Dons attacking midfielder Scott Twine as they continue scouting the lower leagues for talent.

According to ExWHUemployee, the 22-year-old has emerged on Hammers’ radar after his impressive performances in League One.

This season, in 30 league games, he’s scored 13 goals and provided nine assists, playing a key role in taking his side to third place.

Discussing the names of players the club are keen on signing, Ex said on the West Ham Way podcast, “Scott Twine is another one. He is an attacking midfielder at MK Dons. He is someone else that we’ve been looking at.”

Scores goals for fun

In 2021, The Times featured Twine for being a player who tends to score screamers for fun.

Back then, he was at Swindon Town and made it his unique selling point to find the back of the net from long range.

He has been hailed for his Cristiano Ronaldo-esque knuckleball shot that leaves goalkeepers for dead.

His reputation certainly precedes him as his former side Chippenham Town specially released a video of all his “Sensational” free kicks and long rangers he scored for them.

The Hammers have not been shy to sign players from lower leagues and Twine clearly seems someone who’s ready for the Championship if not the Premier League.

He could always be signed and given a pre-season to see whether or not he’s ready to break into the first team.

If not, there certainly will be a queue of Championship clubs knocking on the doors at the London Stadium for a season-long loan.
