West Ham want to sign Eintracht Frankfurt attacker Filip Kostic

West Ham are reportedly considering a move for wantaway Eintracht Frankfurt winger Filip Kostic in the summer transfer window.

According to Italian media outlet Calciomercato, a host of clubs are chasing the services of the 29-year-old Serbia international.

The likes of Arsenal, Atletico Madrid, Sevilla, Inter Milan and other top European clubs are all plotting summer moves for the Bundesliga ace.

Tad old

A few years ago, signing Kostic would have made a lot of sense for the Hammers, but now it makes no sense.

At 29, he’s not getting any better or younger and would take time to adapt to life in the Premier League.

He was previously billed the ‘New Gareth Bale‘ for the way his shots found the back of the net, but it’s fair to say he’s not lived up to the billing.

Ideally, the Hammers should be looking at players who are in their mid-20s and still have the chance to get better.

Kostic is the finished product and would come to the London Stadium on high wages and no guarantees of succeeding.

If we were Rob Newman, this would be one of the options we would instantly veto as West Ham can do much better than him.

In other West Ham news, the club want to sign a ‘World class’ central midfielder in January and the player is set to leave on one condition
