West Ham United letting Said Benrahma leave and replacing him with Adnan Januzaj is ridiculous
West Ham United have been linked with a move for Real Sociedad attacker Adnan Januzaj – and that could well be an indication that Said Benrahma is set to leave the London Stadium.
According to Mundo Deportivo on Thursday (16 June, page four) Sociedad won’t be offering the 27-year-old midfielder a new deal with the Hammers potentially interested.
It had been revealed by The Guardian on 8 June that West Ham are open to offers for Benrahma with David Moyes growing frustrated with the Algerian, despite 11 goals and six assists in the 2021/22 season.

If Moyes lets the 26-year-old attacker depart the London Stadium and replaces him with Januzaj, then something is seriously wrong at the London Stadium.
Januzaj is 27 and has three goals and no assists for the Spanish side in the 2021/22 season.
He will clearly command a large wage should he move to East London.
Benrahma has eight goals and six assists just in the 2021/22 Premier League campaign and is being tipped to leave the club this summer.
This decision just doesn’t make any sense.
Benrahma may be inconsistent at times but he dwarfs Januzaj in terms of attacking output whilst playing in a better league than the former Manchester United man.
The only feasible explanation would be Moyes trying to generate funds with the West Ham man still likely to command a reasonably large fee.

West Ham didn’t struggle for goals last season, therefore Moyes may be looking to make his squad slightly more solid and well-rounded.
If Benrahma remains at the club there is every chance he will continue to be a good attacking outlet for Moyes.
