West Ham United could now sign another Ivorian international in the shape of PSV midfielder Ibrahim Sangare, according to ExWHUemployee.
The reliable source has reported that the defensive enforcer could follow Maxwel Cornet to the London Stadium after he was announced on Friday evening (05 August).
Rob Newman is said to have been at PSV’s recent showdown with Monaco in the Champions League qualifiers, with a number of clubs said to be keen on Sangare.
Writing on the official West Ham Way Patreon page, Ex shared who could be next at the London Stadium after the latest announcement in recent hours.
“Whilst we were covering and researching the Cornet deal we were told that the club could make a move for his international team mate Ibrahim Sangare of PSV.
“It is thought that Rob Newman watched Monaco v PSV in the Champions League. Sangare was subbed off but apparently put in a good shift as the club contemplated making a move.

“There is a possibility that other players stood out and could be subject to a move but it seems most likely that Sangare was the player being most considered.
“He is a defensive midfielder, 6’3 and 24 years of age and would represent a much better deal than Onana financially. Once more there are a number of clubs said to be keen and he had been linked with a number of top clubs this summer and could be one of the players we target next along with some of the other midfielders we have mentioned.”
More.
David Moyes made it very clear earlier today that he was far from happy with the number of signings through the door, with more new faces wanted.
Cornet’s arrival could kickstart another new transfer blitz, with Sangare potentially next through the doors to join his international teammate in the Premier League.
Amadou Onana is set to move to Everton, meaning other midfield targets will need to be found, and we may have found our man already with quick work.
Sangare is much more proven than Onana too, and could prove to be cheaper in the end despite his international and European football experience.
The midfielder has already lifted silverware this season too, with PSV’s win over Ajax in the Dutch version of the Community Shield so will be ready to go instantly.
Newman has done his work taking in a game of Sangare’s, will West Ham United now make that move?
