West Ham United and Tottenham Hotspur in transfer battle for Lecce midfielder Joan Gonzalez
Lecce are reportedly looking forward to completing a sale as West Ham, Tottenham Hotspur and Everton are keen on signing their midfielder Joan Gonzalez.
According to Italian media outlet Gazzetta [13 December], the Serie A side are understood to be willing to sanction a sale for £13million.
The 20-year-old Spaniard left Barcelona on a free transfer in 2019 and now the Catalan giants already regret letting him go.

Soucek replacement?
It’s time West Ham parted ways with Tomas Soucek and this January could be the perfect time to do that.
Since being exceptional in 2020/21, he fell off a cliff in the following year and saw a number of fans turning on him.
This wasn’t expected as he had almost become a cult hero at the London Stadium and this season hasn’t done him any favours either.
It’s understood that the club are open to cashing in on him should the right offer come in.
Gonzalez is younger, but he can be given some time to adapt and can start as playing as Lucas Paqueta’s understudy with Flynn Downes getting more game time.
For that money, he’s not really a big risk and his age means that if it all goes south, the Hammers can at least recoup a good amount of money for him.
It remains to be seen if Spurs or Everton come in for the Spaniard and it’s going to be an interesting transfer saga if it leads to it.
