West Ham United ace Nikola Vlasic to get Croatia chance amid uncertain club future

West Ham United appear set to sell Nikola Vlasic this transfer window but he’s going to get a chance to impress for his national side in June.

The Croatian was consigned to limited starts and mainly substitute appearances during the 2021-22 season after his late-summer move to the London Stadium from CSKA Moscow.

Claret and Hugh are now reporting though that the Irons may cut their losses and try to offload the 24-year-old despite having not paid all of the fee to the Russian club due to the ongoing war in Ukraine.

Croatian national team manager Zlatko Dalic has made it clear that he is going to give Vlasic the chance to impress in the Nations League, whether that be for his current or potential future employers.

“He will get a chance and he is aware that he has to play. He will decide during the summer what and how,” Dalic said, as quoted by 24Sata

“He was one of the best players in the qualifiers, I know how much he is worth and can do. We are all in the headquarters for him and the attitude is that he must be with us.”

Needs a chance

Moyes has been incredibly stubborn at times during his stint as West Ham manager and that has really cost us on occasions.

Vlasic has been forced to sit on the sidelines and watch the likes of Said Benrahma and Pablo Fornals play out of position on the left wing where he is often so good for his national team.

The 24-year-old could be a very good player for the Hammers if he were ever to be given the chance to play a string of games in a row and time to adjust to life in England too having moved over from Russia, which is a very different lifestyle.

We are often too quick to judge players nowadays and forget the human aspect of such a big life change so we really need to be showing some patience with the Croatian here, not trying to dump him on the kerb at the first opportunity we get.

In other West Ham news, there is a chance that this Hammers target could be sacrificed for a new tactic which could see him leave his current club for just £10million.
