West Ham target Layvin Kurzawa set to leave PSG in January
West Ham may have been handed a major boost to secure the signing of Paris St. Germain left-back Layvin Kurzawa in January.
According to Foot Mercato, the Hammers are among a number of clubs keen on signing the France international left-back and have already made contact to sign him.
With CBS Sports’ Ligue 1 correspondent Jonathan Johnson claiming that he’s set to leave this month, it opens up the door for the London club to swoop in.
He said, “Kurzawa is somebody who’ll definitely be on the move in January if an offer is acceptable to PSG and to the player.
“He’s barely featured this season so a move would definitely be in the player’s interest.
“He doesn’t have the best relationship with Thomas Tuchel from their past together at PSG so I’m not sure if that (Chelsea) would be the most logical fit.”
To see Chelsea being an unlikely destination is massive news for David Moyes and West Ham.
The Blues have been looking for a left-back since Ben Chilwell’s season-ending injury.

They were also in the hunt with the Hammers to sign Lucas Digne from Everton, but he ended up joining Aston Villa eventually.
Given Aaron Cresswell’s age, it makes signing a left-back this month almost imperative.
Kurzawa has been a bit-part player for PSG this term and could be a good short-term fix and an upgrade on Cresswell.
The Ligue 1 leaders appear to be open to the idea of a sale so it’s time that Rob Newman gets on the negotiating table and gets this deal over the line as soon as possible.
