West Ham Super fans react to James Tarkowski transfer link

This is part of a regular series from our panel of West Ham Super Fans. Each week, our Super Fans will deliver their verdicts on the biggest talking points and news stories around the London Stadium. You can join in the discussion on our West Ham Zone Facebook page.

Burnley defender James Tarkowski is keen on a move to West Ham, according to a recent report from the Evening Standard.

David Moyes is reportedly a big fan of the player, but West Ham are unwilling to meet his £20million asking price.

He has a contract at the club until the end of the season, and he appears likely to leave the club.

According to a recent report from The Athletic, the defender has made it clear that he will leave the club and wants to experience new challenges.

On reading this news, the Hammers faithful have stated their reaction, and the majority of them do not want him at the club.

They feel that he has not been in good form recently and has missed the opportunity to join the Hammers.

Here’s what they had to say on the West Ham Zone Facebook page…

Need for defender

West Ham are flying at the moment in the Premier League but they need a few additions in the winter transfer window to boost their top-four chances.

While signing a striker is a top priority, the Hammers may also need a defender following the injury to Angelo Ogbonna.

The 33-year-old centre-back picked up an anterior cruciate ligament injury against Liverpool and could miss the rest of the season.

David Moyes has the likes of Kurt Zouma, Craig Dawson and Issa Diop as other options, while Declan Rice can also play at the back. In all probability, Moyes won’t take that route, as Rice has been phenomenal in midfield this season.

The Irons have been previously linked with Fiorentina’s Nikola Milenkovic, and as you can see, many fans feel he would be a better option than Tarkowski.

In other West Ham news, we think that the Hammers should go all out and sign this 20-year-old striker.
