West Ham have to act now to sign Charles De Ketelaere in January
West Ham must act now and make a move for Charles De Ketelaere in January after a new report emerged.
Calciomercato claim that Tottenham Hotspur and AC Milan want to sign the 20-year-old from Club Brugge. Therefore, it is time for the Irons to make a move in January.
De Ketelaere was linked with a move to the Irons by Calciomercato earlier this year, but this interest from other European clubs should force the Irons into action.
The Belgian forward has appeared in the Champions League and has made 90 appearances for Brugge’s first team.
In that time, he has scored 12 goals and provided 14 assists, which isn’t great, but given that he is only young, there is clearly huge scope for improvement.
De Ketelaere has been capped by Belgium, so he is clearly someone who is rated highly and has a big future ahead of him.
The Belgian could arrive and play as a rotation option while he adapts to the Premier League’s physicality and speed.
However, given that a Premier League and potential Champions League challenging rival are now looking at De Ketelaere, it is time for the Irons to strike and make a move for the forward.
The 20-year-old looks like he has a big future ahead of him, and he would fit in with the Irons’ young and hungry squad.
De Ketelaere ticks a lot of boxes for the Hammers, and perhaps Spurs’ interest will encourage them to push on and complete the deal.
In other West Ham news, Ian Wright has called for Jarrod Bowen to get an England call-up.
