Ex said on the West Ham Way Podcast, “The talk is that he trained today [Tuesday] to see how he gets on. A second source is telling me he’s 50/50 for the game so I guess we’ll have to wait and tell.”

Must play

While it could be a risk to deploy the Jamaican in the playing eleven, it is the Hammers’ biggest game of the season.

Without him, they do not have any recognised striker in their squad.

If Antonio doesn’t play, they will have to rely on Andriy Yarmolenko as Jarrod Bowen is also injured.

Even if the 31-year-old can play 60 minutes or a half, David Moyes must make that call and start him.

Hopefully, the Hammers can turn around the deficit in from of their home fans.

The London Stadium will certainly be buzzing and each player in the squad must know how much this result will mean to the fans.

In other West Ham news, the club want to sign a ‘Brilliant’ Chelsea player who will tick a major box for David Moyes in the summer.
