West Ham mull over making move for Burnley defender Charlie Taylor

West Ham United could now make a move for Burnley full-back Charlie Taylor this summer, according to talkSPORT.

The Hammers are in the market to sign a full-back in the ongoing transfer window and have been linked with a number of players including Filip Kostic and Emerson

However, as per the latest report, after failing to land both of their above-mentioned targets, they believe cash-strapped Burnley may be ready to sell up in the next two weeks.

West Ham came into the transfer market hoping to sign players for a number of positions for the 2022-23 season.

With less than 15 days remaining, the Hammers did manage to strengthen a number of key areas but one area — the full-back department — still demands attention.

A proposed move for Taylor will be a step in that direction but it remains to be seen whether he will prove to be an upgrade on Aaron Cresswell with so little time left in the window, it seems that the Irons have now run out of options.

The 28-year-old has been a Burnley player since the summer of 2017 when he moved as a free agent once his contract with Leeds United came to an end.

Since then, he has represented his current club in 153 matches across all competitions where he has managed to provide seven assists [Transfermarkt].

This season, he is one of the few Burnley players who has played full 90 minutes in all of the club’s four Championship matches.
