West Ham midfielder Manuel Lanzini suffers knock ahead of Sevilla match

West Ham midfielder Manuel Lanzini has suffered a knock ahead of the Sevilla match, per ExWHUemployee.

The Hammers insider has claimed that his Achilles tendon has also been giving him trouble in recent weeks.

He will be monitored closely in the build-up to the game, but it’s not understood to be too serious.

He said on the West Ham Way Podcast, “There’s little knocks and niggles that Lanzini’s been suffering from a bit, recently. His Achilles tendon has also been giving him a bit of a problem. We’ll have to monitor him closely.”

Hope he’s fine

Lanzini has recently been called up to the Argentina squad due to his impressive performances for the Hammers.

In the summer, it felt like he was on his way out as he was not understood to be rated too highly by David Moyes.

However, he’s managed to silence his critics and win over the manager’s trust within the last few months.

Losing him against Sevilla would be a devastating blow as not only can he play in the final third, but can also drop deep in midfield.

Hopefully, his knock is nothing serious and he manages to brush it off ahead of the big European game.

In other West Ham news, the club want to sign a ‘Brilliant’ Chelsea player who will tick a major box for David Moyes in the summer.
