West Ham-linked Jesse Lingard edges closer to Manchester United exit
West Ham target Jesse Lingard turned down another contract extension at Manchester United, according to a report in 90Min.
They claim that he is now edging closer to an Old Trafford exit in January after he’s grown frustrated with the lack of playing time at the club.
The Hammers are still understood to be keen on signing him and a move for him is still on the cards, despite them shifting their attention to Adam Hlozek.

Big boost
We saw this coming with Lingard’s situation as Manchester United only wanted him to provide backup to their current attackers.
They also made a last gasp move for Cristiano Ronaldo, putting Lingard further behind in the pecking order.
Despite Man United desperately looking for some energy off the bench, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has seldom turned to the England international for answers.
His job is currently on the line and it seems like everything going is a mess at Old Trafford.

We wouldn’t blame Lingard, a player who’s been labelled “sensational” by Nigel Winterburn, for wanting out of that atmosphere.
It also gives the Hammers a huge boost should they make a proper offer for him.
Given the fact that he’s only got six months left on his deal, he is unlikely to be too expensive and would be well within their budget.
