West Ham extensively scout Middlesbrough right-back Isaiah Jones

West Ham have reportedly scouted Middlesbrough right wing-back Isaiah Jones ‘extensively’ over the last few months.

According to The Northern Echo, manager Chris Wilder will be extremely reluctant to lose the 22-year-old in the summer.

However, should the club decide to cash in on Jones, they have a replacement ready in Djed Spence who is out on loan at Nottingham Forest this season.

Seems good

Jones is an extremely versatile player and can be used in the final third as well.

He’s played as a right winger on several occasions throughout his fledgling career and is already showing that he’s one of the better players in the Championship.

The time may have come for him to leave the Riverside and move to a big club like West Ham.

At the London Stadium, he will get to play in the Premier League and possibly Europe as well should the Hammers qualify.

As things stand, they’re on course to finish in the European places and they’re still in the hunt for the Champions League places.

Jones, who’s having an “incredible” 2021/22 campaign would be a terrific addition to David Moyes’ squad and he must do all it takes to bring him to the club in the summer window.
