West Ham attacker Said Benrahma available for Brighton clash

Said Benrahma did not suffer an injury in the 2-1 West Ham loss to Manchester City over the weekend, according to Claret and Hugh.

There were fears that David Moyes brought him off due to injury issues, but it is understood that it was only a tactical switch.

This means that he is fit and available for selection for the Brighton clash on Wednesday night.

Last season, the Algerian struggled to make his mark in the Premier League and felt like an anomaly in the Hammers side.

However, this time around, he has proven why he was worth every penny and why Brentford were reluctant to let him go.

He has cemented his place in Moyes’ first-choice playing eleven and is a huge reason why this team looks so fluid in the final third.

Everyone knows their roles and where they’re supposed to be with and without the ball.

Benrahma, who has been labelled as “brilliant” by the Brentford official website, has been deployed on the left and as a number 10 and has thrived in both positions.

It will be interesting to see how he fares against Graham Potter’s side and hopefully, he gets back to his goal-scoring ways and ensures that the Hammers pick up three crucial points at home.
