West Ham ace Declan Rice does not have Covid despite Liverpool fitness blow
West Ham midfielder Declan Rice did not miss the Liverpool clash due to Covid, according to Thomas Clark.
The Football London journalist claims that the Englishman underwent late medical tests but was deemed unwell and missed the game through illness.
However, he will not be required to miss two weeks as it is not Covid-19 and just a common illness.
Via his personal Twitter account, Clark wrote, “Understand that Declan Rice underwent a medical test this morning with a view to a late trip up to Anfield but was not deemed well enough. (Not covid). Rice, Diop and Areola are the three changes from midweek.”
Big blow
Facing Liverpool was already going to be a tough ask for the Hammers but it’s now going to be even tougher without Rice.
The English midfielder has been ever-present for Moyes over the last few seasons.
He knows perfectly what makes the West Ham side tick and with him the club can hope to get a result against any side.

However, without him, there’s no guarantee that Pablo Fornals will put in a similar shit.
Few players in the Premier League are as positionally attentive as Rice and hopefully his absence is a minor one and that he’s back for the next game.
