Tottenham Hotspur discuss £40m move with representatives of West Ham ace Tomas Soucek

Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly discussed a £40million move with the representatives of West Ham ace Tomas Soucek.

According to Claret and Hugh, Spurs could table a bid in that region as they look to sign the central midfielder this summer.

However, it is unlikely that the Czech midfielder moves to North London due to the rivalry between the two clubs.

Not happening

Soucek may not be a boyhood Hammer but he knows about the animosity between the two clubs.

Even if he wants to leave, there are other clubs keen on securing his services and both, the Hammers and the player know that.

If he does have his heart set on Spurs, the Hammers may have to give in to his wishes and hike his price even further.

This would eventually put pressure on the North London side to shell out a giant fee and their interest in him will cool.

Things do seem to be cordial behind the scenes at West Ham, contrary to what the mainstream media has been reporting of late.

We’re hoping that Soucek, attacker Jarrod Bowen as well as midfielder and captain Declan Rice stay on at the club as they’ve been phenomenal for the past two seasons.

In other West Ham news, ExWHUemployee claims that the Hammers are confident of beating Manchester City to sign an attacking sensation this summer.
