Paul Merson tips 'big move' for Jarrod Bowen this summer, predicts West Ham United v Brighton
Paul Merson believes West Ham winger Jarrod Bowen could be set for a summer move away from the club after his performances this season.
Bowen has racked up 18 goals and 11 assists in all competitions for the Hammers this season, and is on the verge of a maiden England call-up under Gareth Southgate.
Now Merson, speaking to SportsKeeda, believes he could secure a ‘big move’ away but insists West Ham are a big club too and that could help them keep him, while predicting their final game of the season against Brighton to end in a 2-2 draw.
“This is another one of those end-of-season football matches that could have a lot of goals in it,” he said.
“West Ham were outstanding against Manchester City, with Jarrod Bowen grabbing the headlines once again with a fantastic first-half brace.
“I really like him, he’s had an outstanding season and could well secure a big move this summer. That said, West Ham are also a big club, so it remains to be seen what happens to him.”

Bowen’s fine season has already attracted great attention, with the likes of Liverpool already linked to a potential move for him to replace Mohamed Salah.
But with David Moyes keen to bolster his squad rather than see it weakened, the 25-year-old is under contract until 2025 and is unlikely to go anywhere unless a big offer is received and the player kicks up a fuss.
That is even more unlikely, and reports suggest a new deal is in the offing for the soon-to-be England international which all but rules out a summer move.
Bowen has established himself as the best attacker in the squad and if he can continue his upward trajectory that he has shown in recent seasons then he will get that big move eventually anyway.
It’ll be a massive summer for West Ham, but they will make real progress if they can keep hold of Declan Rice and Bowen.
