Journalist moots West Ham United interest in Jonathan David, Lille likely to sell for £51m
West Ham could be interested in signing Lille and Canada striker Jonathan David this summer, according to CBS journalist Ben Jacobs.
Jacobs noted that Ligue 1 club expect to sell the 23-year-old in the coming months, with the club looking for €60million (£51million).
David netted 26 goals in all competitions this season, with 24 coming in Ligue 1 and the other two coming in the Coupe de France.

“Lille expect to sell Jonathan David this summer,” Jacobs wrote on Twitter. “They are looking for around €60m. David would love a move to the Premier League.
“PSG and Napoli tracking David. If Osimhen is sold, latter would be very keen. And keep an eye on West Ham.”
Star striker
David has enjoyed a rapid rise in recent years, with the youngster now one of the hottest properties in Europe.
Given their pulling power in France, PSG will no doubt fancy their chances of luring the striker to Paris this summer, while Serie A champions Napoli will also have high hopes for his signature after their recent success.
But if David does indeed favour a move to England, then West Ham will be licking their lips, although it remains to be seen if they are willing to spend so much money on a single player.
The Hammers haven’t exactly got all of their high-profile signings right in recent times, with striker Gianluca Scamacca potentially leaving the club after just one season.
Fellow big-money signing Lucas Paqueta has, however, enjoyed his time in claret and blue of late, with West Ham keen for David to have a similar impact in East London if he was to make a move there.
