Ian Wright makes West Ham transfer suggestion after 2-1 defeat at Manchester City
Ian Wright has shared his excitement over West Ham, despite Sunday’s 2-1 defeat to Manchester City.
The Irons have now lost successive Premier League matches after Manuel Lanzini could only score a consolation to goals by Ilkay Gundogan and Fernandinho at the Etihad Stadium.
That result came eight days after the Irons lost 1-0 at Wolves, but speaking on BBC Match of the Day 2 [29/11/21], Wright is remaining upbeat.
“I’m really excited about what’s happening with West Ham, [they’ve] not lost a game by a single goal all season despite playing in Europe,” Wright said.
“I think that recruitment for West Ham is going to be important, if they can get that right and add some real good depth to that squad…I like West Ham being amongst it, it’s quite exciting.
“Hopefully, it can continue.”

January moves?
David Moyes appears to have settled on a favoured starting XI at the London Stadium, and that has brought some brilliant results this season.
It’s left some big-money players on the bench, too, with Nikola Vlasic failing to feature much after his summer switch from CSKA Moscow.
However, there are two positions where the Irons are in need of strengthening.
Michail Antonio remains the only senior centre-forward option at the club and signing someone to compete with him is vital in January.
Moyes may also move for a new centre-back after Angelo Ogbonna’s recent anterior cruciate ligament injury that should rule him out for the rest of the season.
Craig Dawson and Issa Diop are currently competing to partner Kurt Zouma in defence but Moyes could be forced to re-enter the market for a replacement for Ogbonna.
In other West Ham news, David Moyes was ‘absolutely furious’ at this Irons star against Manchester City.
