Ian Wright makes England plea for West Ham United star Jarrod Bowen live on ITV

Ian Wright has made an emotional plea on West Ham United star Jarrod Bowen this evening ahead of England’s clash with Albania.

The attacker is said to be on the radar of Gareth Southgate and his team but missed out on yet another chance for a call-up and first cap for his country.

Wright simply couldn’t believe it and admitted that Bowen will want to know that Southgate is going to take some notice of his form.

Speaking live on ITV this evening, Wright singled out the Irons attacker as one player who can count themselves as hard done by.

“Jarrod Bowen,” he said.

“You just want to know that what they are doing, they [England] will take some notice of that.”

Makes no sense.

What more does Bowen need to do?

The winger has been central to the success of David Moyes and the Irons this season and has been relied on more than others.

Bowen has been ever-present, featuring in the Carabao Cup and Europa League games as well as the Premier League – the only one to say that consistently.

Wright has been very vocal about his dismay at these situations under Southgate, and this is likely the worst time for Bowen.

The former Hull man will now need to get his head down at club level yet again with no more international breaks until March of next year.

Hopefully, he can continue that form over Christmas and finally get that call-up to the Three Lions in 2022.
