ExWHUemployee shares major West Ham United ace Nayef Aguerd injury update ahead of Silkeborg clash

West Ham defender Nayef Aguerd could reportedly make his debut against Silkeborg on Thursday night and could do so from the start.

According to ExWHUemployee’s website which is West Ham Way, he has a “strong chance” of being named in the starting eleven as well, having not yet been seen in a professional game.

This comes after speculation that he would be out another couple of months and return to action right after the World Cup.

Big risk

While fans would love to see Aguerd make his debut for the club, doing so right from the off after a major injury may be a tad risky.

There are no guarantees that the Moroccan will hit the ground running at a new club and look like a right fit from minute one.

These things take time and players generally need a few games to adapt as was the case with Lucas Paqueta and Gianluca Scamacca as well.

We would be happier seeing him coming off the bench for the first few matches but surely the West Ham staff knows better.

If they deem him ready to start, then that should be the right decision and we’re hoping to see what the fuss is about him.

He’s a player that the Hammers have pursued since over a year and David Moyes really seemed to want him at the London Stadium.
